Richard is founder of Studio Partington, an award-winning design practice working in housing, urbanism and regeneration. He has written best practice guides for the NHBC Foundation and the Zero Carbon Hub (where he served as architect advisor and co-chaired the Design vs As Built steering group), articles for RIBA, CIBSE and AJ and is co-editor of ‘Better Buildings – learning from buildings in use’ (RIBA Publishing 2017). Richard has been an expert advisor to the Ministerial Advisory Group in Northern Ireland, a Design Council CABE enabler and has taught at Cambridge University, UCL and University of Wales.
